What does the rental package include?
Our rental rate includes unlimited kilometres, All taxes and GST, 24/7 AA roadside assistance and insurance which is subject to an excess. Excess varies depending on the level of cover you choose.
How do I pay for my booking?
Payment is to be made at the commencement of the hire, There is no need to pay a deposit to confirm the booking, Just need to enter your credit card details through a secure link, We accept MasterCard and Visa.
What does it mean if a car has ‘On Request’ next to it?
This means, we only have limited availability for your dates, However we might be able to fit in your booking depending on the availability. Please contact us so we can try our best.
Can I drive on my overseas licence?
We accept full valid driver’s licences from most countries. Unfortunately, we do not accept Learners or Provisional (P) Plate licences. International driving licences are also accepted, All licences must be in English. Driver license’s which are not in English must get a translation done by NZTA approved translation services. We can organise this for you, We recommend getting this done in advance to avoid delay during pick up.
Can I get my car delivered to Auckland city area?
Yes, No problem! We can deliver the car to you anywhere in Auckland at no extra cost, Also, At the end of the hire, we can pick up the vehicle from your location.
Can I pick up or drop-off a vehicle outside business hours?
Yes, You definitely can ! Just get in touch and we will organise this for you.
What time do your airport shuttles run until?
Our airport shuttles operate 24/7,Our Auckland Airport base is located just 7 minutes from the Airport , just need to call us when you are ready to be picked up.At the end of the hire, you can return the car to our Airport base and catch the shuttle to the Airport.
Is there a minimum age for renting a car from TEAM D MOTORS?
You must be at least 21 years of age to hire and/or drive our rental car.
Can I smoke in the car?
For the comfort of all our customers, we have a no smoking and no pets policy ,A valet charge of minimum $250 plus GST will apply if you fail to comply with this.
Do I have to pay a bond?
Yes, We need to pre authorise the insurance excess amount on a credit card when you pick up the vehicle.This is to ensure you have sufficient funds on the credit card. Bond amount depends on the insurance package you select. The name on the card must match the main hirer’s name.You will receive your bond back after returning the car. Please be aware, if there’s any damage to the vehicle during your rental period, or if we find damage during the check-in process, we will deduct the necessary excess payment from the pre-authorised bond amount.
Can you guarantee an automatic vehicle?
Yes,All our rental vehicles are automatic.
Do you price match?
Yes, We do price match, We will need a screenshot/copy of the quote you received from the other rental company , The quote must be for a vehicle similar, age, specs etc from the rental company directly (not through any agents or third party websites ). Please note we are able to price match only depending on our availability.
What happens if I breakdown?
Our vehicles are maintained very well with regular servicing and routine inspections, In the highly unlikely event of a breakdown, You are covered by AA roadside assistance 24/7 anywhere in the country. Please note there will be charges for non-mechanical issues such as flat battery due to lights being left on,flat tyre, lost key, ran out of fuel etc
What to do I do if I have an accident?
First of all, we’d want to make sure that everyone is okay. In the unfortunate event of an accident we will ask that you do not admit liability in any circumstance. If you are unsure, always obtain a police report that will help our insurance company to gauge who was at fault. All accidents must be reported to us within 2 hours from the incident. You’ll also have to complete claims forms for us to process the insurance claim on your behalf. We are unable to replace the vehicle if you are liable for the accident.
